Vettel behaalde zijn grootste successen bij Red Bull en won met het team vier titels in 2010, 2011, 2012 en 2013. Na het seizoen 2014 verliet hij de ploeg voor Ferrari, waar hij in Maranello de successen van zijn idool Michael Schumacher probeerde te herhalen. In 2017 en 2018 streed hij met Lewis Hamilton om de titel, maar de Mercedes-coureur had beide jaren een beter einde van het seizoen. Na het seizoen 2020 verliet Vettel Ferrari en racete hij in 2021 voor Aston Martin. Hij heeft ook geracet voor BMW (2007) en Toro Rosso (2007-2018).
