Der Sohn des siebenfachen Weltmeisters Michael Schumacher gab in der vergangenen Saison sein Debüt bei Haas. Allerdings konnte er mit dem langsamsten Auto in der Startaufstellung keinen einzigen Punkt holen. Das Positive für ihn war, dass er regelmäßig vor seinem Teamkollegen Mazepin ins Ziel kam. Der Formel-3-Europameister von 2018 und FIA-Formel-2-Champion von 2020 fährt auch in diesem Jahr mit Haas. Außerdem ist er, wie auch Antonio Giovinazzi, als Reservefahrer für Ferrari tätig.
