De zoon van zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher debuteerde vorig seizoen bij Haas. Hij kon echter geen enkel punt scoren met de langzaamste auto op de grid. Positief voor hem was dat hij regelmatig voor zijn teamgenoot Mazepin eindigde. De Europees Formule 3-kampioen van 2018 en de FIA Formule 2-kampioen van 2020 gaat dit jaar verder bij Haas. Daarnaast dient hij als reservecoureur voor Ferrari, net als Antonio Giovinazzi.
